چکیده

It is well known that, in Landau gauge, the renormalization function of the ghost-ghost-gluon vertex Z 1 (p 2) is finite and constant, at least to all orders of perturbation theory. On the other hand, a direct non-perturbative verification of this result using numerical simulations of lattice QCD is still missing. Here we present a preliminary numerical study of the ghost-ghost-gluon vertex and of its corresponding renormalization function using Monte Carlo simulations in SU(2) lattice Landau gauge. Data were obtained in 4 dimensions for lattice couplings β = 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and lattice sides N = 4, 8, 16.

We consider numerical data for the lattice Landau gluon propagator obtained at very large lattice volumes in three-dimensional pure SU(2) Yang-Mills gauge theory (YM 2 3). We find that the temporal correlator C(t) shows an oscillatory pattern and is negative for several values of t. This is an explicit violation of reflection positivity and can be related to gluon confinement. We also obtain a ...

Color matrix elements of the ghost triangle diagram that appears in the triple gluon vertex and the ghost-ghost-gluon triangle diagram that appears in the ghost-gluon-ghost vertex are calculated. The ghost-ghost-gluon triangle contains a loop consisting of two color diagonal ghost and one gluon and a loop consisting of two color antisymmetric ghost and one gluon. Consequently the pQCD argument ...

where D(p) and G(p) are, respectively, the gluon and ghost propagators evaluated in Landau gauge. Clearly g(p) is a gauge-dependent quantity; however, notice that g(p) is renormalization-group invariant in Landau gauge since, in this case, ZgZ 1/2 3 Z̃3 = Z̃1 = 1. This running coupling strength enters the quark Dyson-Schwinger equation directly and can be interpreted as an effective interaction s...

where β = 1 2g and g is the continuum gauge coupling. We will keep b = β N fixed as N goes to infinity, and this amounts to setting gN = 1 2b . The reduced model on the lattice has a [U(1)] symmetry. The Eguchi-Kawai argument for reduction holds only if the [U(1)] symmetry remains unbroken [3]. This is not the case as b → ∞ [4]. This problem is resolved by defining the quenched reduced model [4...

The compatibility of the pure power law infrared solution of QCD Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSE) and lattice data for the gluon and ghost propagators in Landau gauge is discussed. For the gluon propagator, the lattice data is compatible with the DSE infrared solution with an exponent κ ∼ 0.53, measured using a technique that suppresses finite volume effects and allows to model these corrections...
